A LOOK INSIDE THE ‘INFINITE MYSTERIOUS BEAUTY’ OF ARTIST YAYOI KUSAMA EXHIBIT @ THE BROAD
“I am deeply interested in trying to understand the relationship between people, society, and nature; and my work is forged from accumulations of these frictions”—Yayoi Kusama
Immerse yourself in the kaleidoscopic setting that defines the Japanese artist – Yayoi Kusama at the upcoming exhibition, Infinity Mirrors, at The Broad. The exhibit kicks off on October 21, 2017 and runs through January 1, 2018. Art aficiandos will have the “the unique opportunity to experience six of Kusama’s infinity rooms alongside large-scale installations and key paintings, sculptures and works on paper from the early 1950s to the present, which contextualize the foundational role the concept of infinity has played in the artist’s work over many decades and through diverse media.”
Kusama’s first-floor residency at The Broad is part of the most significant North American tour of her work in nearly two decades and, as the only California museum to host the exhibition, The Broad should expect thousands of enthusiastic Social Media mentions in the coming months.
